Ethan's favorite paddling activity is canoe camping. Here you'll find his favorite gear for getting the best out of your trip.
Ethan highly recommends portage packs for your trips, because: "Backpacking-type backpacks are great for backpacking. Canoes? Ehhh, it's doable. But, the best is a more squared-off style bag that fits great in a canoe and doesn't have a top neck pouch to get in your way while portaging."
He suggests exploring the portage packs listed and finding the best solution for you. Find out why by exploring each individual product!
Barrels are also a must have. "Barrels just don't get enough love. Need a lot of food? Put in a barrel. Need to stow gear in a waterproof container? Put it in a barrel. Sick of hanging food packs? Put it in a barrel. I like to tie my barrel to a tree within or right near camp so if something is trying to get into it, they won't be able to run off with it, and hopefully, I can spook anything away by hearing them."
