Your search for the ideal food pack is over. This pack is built large and semi-box-shaped and lined with 1/2" closed cell foam to keep your food fresher longer and better protected than ever. The foam gives the pack a semi-rigid shape even when it's empty to make access easy for re-packing throughout your trip. Use with a block or two of ice to keep fresh food cool even in summer heat. Extra grab loops on the sides and back make it easier to lift the Food Pack into and out of your canoe.

I bought this to use as a food back for the BWCA. It handles this role beautifully. It is well built and has a thoughtful design that makes loading and unloading form a canoe easy. You can tell it was designed by someone who has dipped a paddle a time or two. It will easily hold my food and cookware for two people for a 5 day trip with room left over. On quick overnight trips with my boys I add frozen brats/dogs with a frozen milk jug and usually have to let them sit a bit to thaw. On one hot(103º) float trip I added an insulated 5 gallon bucket and it kept frozen steaks for 10 people for two days before we cooked them. They were still frozen a bit when it came time to cook them. This works much better than any hard side cooler I have used as the center of gravity is much lower. I did add a layer of Reflectix to the foam liner for added benefit.
