Extremely useful 
Does exactly what it's supposed to. The canister by itself is okay if you're on solid level ground but for every other time, this is what stands between you and a spilled water pot. Like, say, in the morning boiling water for coffee in sand when you're not quite woke up. Nudging the pan results in a little slopped water, not toppling the whole thing over. Folds up small, solid construction, fits every canister I've tried it on. Excellent companion for the pocket rocket.
