When my paddling partner wanted to take his solo canoe into the boundary waters, I needed a solo boat I could portage on my own. This boat rocks! Or doesn't rock: It is super stable, getting in and out, paddling in waves, tracking in the wind. The removeable seat came in handy in camp, and the front thwart is in just the right place to strap packs in. I'd go a little longer than usually recommended on the kayak paddle because of the width of the boat. Had a great trip. It's pricey, but worth every penny!
