Used these extensively throughout the Adirondacks to attach a kayak paddle to my solo canoe. Bad pun but they make it a snap to quickly transition from paddling to carrying. They were indispensable in the St Regis Wilderness when I made the classic Seven Carries into marathon 29 portages in 3 days. I hit everything. Everybody I encountered on carries loved the simple set up. Lost one part of the pair before another trip and temporarily replaced it with a strip of velcro, which sucked. Quickly found a new pair from Rutabaga. Thanks guys!
