Excellent shoe, terrific value rating
I am so glad I got these things! I've used Mions, Tevas, and Keenes for years, but these shoes are so far beyond them it's not funny -- and much less expensive too. Warm in cold water, the soles grip very well, and they're much more comfortable than sandals in the boat (note the tread going up the back of the heel). The "vaporloft" lining is kind of fleecy, much nicer than just rubber next to your skin. The YKK zippers are oversized and so pretty bombproof, and the little Velcro closure keeps them from unzipping. The heel cup and ankle grip the foot so that you're never going to worry about losing one in the mud, but aren't constricting to wear. I wouldn't hike for miles in them, without some sort of insoles for better arch support, but I've worn them in town for an entire day and have no complaints (although, like any wetsuit garment, they'll get kinda sweaty!). They are very well-constructed, especially for the price -- I mean, seriously, it's hard to get a half-decent pair of running shoes for this! But everything is finished and sealed and looks like it's going to stand up for a long, long time. Don't worry about buying these, is what I'm saying. You won't regret it.
