Description

The Wenonah Boundary Waters is a touring canoe that trades a little top-speed for excellent stability and easy paddling. Extra fullness throughout the middle gives this canoe serious capacity. The bow and stern height are kept low to catch less wind, and curved webbed seats offer a very comfortable, flexible seating option.

This is a very versatile canoe that handles rough water confidently. It maneuvers pretty well for a fairly long boat, yet glides nicely and carries its added width with surprising speed. Fisherman, sportsmen, and families alike will appreciate this boat's extra stability and impressive capacity. We've recommended the Boundary Waters for an afternoon paddle or a two week trip. With a bit of ballast, it can even be paddled solo.

Wenonah Boundary Waters Great for Afternoon and Weekend Trips   rating
In July Darren Bush from Rutabaga helped my wife and me select a canoe that would be easy to cartop, good for afternoon paddles and an occasional weekend trip. Well, Darren hit it out of the park! This canoe greatly exceeds what we need and is a joy to use. It's also a great freighter canoe taking all the gear I wanted (didn't need most of it)for a cold weather trip. I've been canoeing and kayaking for over 40 years and a canoe like our Boundary Waters, with its light weight and versatility makes our joy of paddling as good as ever.
