These brackets are an efficient way to hang a cane or web seat in most canoes that have synthetic (vinyl or aluminum) gunwales.
When installed, the bracket leaves a small ledge to which you attach your seat. If you want to raise or cant the seat, a hacksaw easily cuts the brackets. Attaching the bracket to the boat may use holes already in your boat (if you are lucky), otherwise you need to drill some holes for rivets or screws (sold separately).
One of the nice things about hanging seats this way is that you will not be adding additional holes to the top of your gunwales where they are most visible.
9.5" W x 6" H
One thing to note: two brackets are required to install a seat.

Dimensions seem to work!
Bought these to use with an another brand seat of unknown origin that I’m refinishing. Dimensions are good and I’ll be able to use the existing holes in the seat to attach to the hanger. Thickness and strength seem fine and the grey matches old Royalex interiors.
